Here's what a visitor to one of our MURDER MYSTERY hotels events had to say:
I entered into the world of a murder mystery evening,I could be forgiven for having a preconceived idea that I might be about to take part in some kind of amateur dramatics.Indeed, my real fear was being cast in the role of the victim.
I am relieved to learn that the evening's entertainment will take place around an evening meal,while my team of detectives are invited to view all the available evidence and interrogate the chief suspects.With eight competing tables,the pressure is really on to be the first to discover whodunnit!
I meet my fellow sleuths in the bar area,where we mingle with the characters and the scene is set.As budding Poirots,we are invited to interrogate the suspects between courses.We are marked on team work and questioning skills and apparently there are extra points available for bribery, which is something we may well have to resort to!
By the time our desserts arrive, the plot and sub-plots are well developed.While more interrogation and suspect profiles should have made solving the murder easier, our team of detectives become ever more bemused.It becomes a process of pure elimination.
There was then much hilarity and banter as the compere read out each team's solutions.Would we become the defective detectives or the super-sleuths? I can now proudly reveal that our solution was correct and we were crowned super-sleuths for the evening with a certificate as evidence of our skills!
Overall it was a fantastic evening, and I'm not just saying that because we won.It was refreshingly different and pure entertainment.There were no embarrassing silences on the table,so this is a superb solution for corporate entertainment.Dinner was served with extra helpings of laughter and fun.A most memorable evening, which has whetted my appetite to host and write perhaps my own murder mystery ...Murder She Wrote?
